Metal spacers are available in different designs to suit various assembly and fastening requirements.
Internally or externally threaded spacers used where a screw fastens directly into the spacer. Common configurations include female-female, male-female, and male-male. Frequently used in electronics, control panels, instrumentation, and equipment assemblies requiring secure spacing and repeated assembly.
Plain hollow sleeves without internal threads. Installed over a bolt or screw shank to maintain a fixed gap between components. Commonly used in machinery, automotive, fabricated assemblies, and structural applications where compression control and spacing are required.
Thin washer-shaped spacers used to create small, accurate gaps. Used for alignment, levelling, height adjustment, and reducing clearance variations. Suitable where only a small spacing adjustment is required.
Miniature spacers manufactured for compact assemblies. Commonly used in PCB assemblies, electronic devices, medical equipment, sensors, and precision instruments. Available in small diameters and short lengths for compact assemblies while maintaining accurate spacing.
Manufactured according to customer drawings, and specifications.Customisable material, OD, ID, length, wall thickness, threads, tolerances, and surface finish. Suitable for OEMs where standard catalogue spacers do not meet design requirements.
Different materials are available for different applications. Material selection depends on the required strength, weight, corrosion resistance, electrical conductivity, machinability, and application requirements.
Steel spacers provide high strength and durable threads. Common materials include carbon steel and mild steel (e.g. EN1A). However, carbon and mild steel do not provide good corrosion resistance and may require a protective surface coating.
Aluminium spacers are lightweight and commonly manufactured from 6061-T6. Aluminium naturally provides good corrosion resistance, while anodising can be applied to improve corrosion resistance, wear resistance, and appearance. Aluminium generally offers lower strength than steel, making it suitable for lightweight applications where high strength is not the primary requirement.
Stainless steel spacers provide excellent corrosion resistance, high strength, and durable threads. Common grades include 304 stainless steel and 316 stainless steel. Stainless steel offers an excellent balance of corrosion resistance, strength, thread durability, and long service life, making it suitable for marine, food processing, chemical, and outdoor applications.
Brass spacer provide good corrosion resistance and durable threads. C36000 is one of the most common free-machining brass grades. Brass provides an excellent balance of machinability, corrosion resistance, thread durability, strength, and cost.
Copper spacers are mainly used where high electrical conductivity is required. Copper is a relatively expensive material, and machining copper is more costly due to its high ductility which reduces machining efficiency.
We manufacture custom metal spacers for UK OEM companies needing a consistent supply of custom spacer. We carry out production in India based on customer drawings and technical requirements.
Buyers typically use us for repeat components where consistent quality, repeatability, and clear communication are important. Orders are planned around batch production and long-term supply programmes instead of one-time catalogue sales.
We handle export shipments to the UK under the agreed Incoterms and provide the commercial and inspection documents required for the order.
We support projects that start with prototype samples and move into repeat production when the design is approved.
Prototype quantities are typically small, ranging from a single part to small batches, used to confirm fit, function, dimensions, tolerances, and machining feasibility. After approval, production is planned for medium to higher volume requirements rather than very small one-time orders.
Production quantity depends on part geometry, material, machining complexity, machining time, and production cost.
Once the process is validated, we maintain documented and controlled manufacturing processes to support repeat OEM supply with consistent quality and output.
